The Jeep Grand Cherokee Is Made For Extremes

Car owners want to have some extreme experience with their vehicles. Sport vehicles are suitable for anyone who wants to have this experience. The Grand Jeep Cherokee is a real Jeep, designed for all road conditions. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is not a very big vehicle. It is just a five passenger mid-size vehicle and the most powerful Jeep ever produced.

The Grand Jeep Cherokee was unveiled in 1983. Compared to other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokees looks like other cars. The compact size has been maintained since 2005. However, more features have been added since 2007. In 2007 new diesel engine options were added. Beginning in 2001, the Cherokee had a V8 five-speed automatic engine. In 2002, Jeep introduced three additional trim levels i. E.; Special edition, Sports, Overland, a 265 HP V8 and more features. The V8 engine was the better choice as it provided more power without much sacrifice in fuel economy compared to the six-cylinder.

Since this is a vehicle made by human beings it had some problems, like the 2005 model. The problems were door glass sticking, moaning, poor tracking, and acute radio signals. But the entire problem was resolved soon after launch. The Cherokee paved the way for later models. Jeep was experimenting and developing a brand new car which would change the face of the industry. The Cherokee provided this opportunity. Later models like the Jeep Commander were much more stable and reliable.

A variety of engines apply to Jeep Grand Cherokees. For example, the SRT-8 model could have a 6. 1 L Hemi V8, with 425 hp and 420lb / ft of torque. Compare this to the 4. 7 L PowerTech V8 (265 hp, 305lb / ft) for the Laredo / Limited model or the 3. 0 L OM642 V6 (215 hp / 376lb / ft) for the Laredo, Limited and Overland models.

Various models would come into existence over time. As from 2007, later models were much improved. Like the ZJ series (1993-1998) – the Base model had a complete set of instruments, a cloth interior and par-for-the-course 5-speed manual transmission. The later WJ models (1999-2004) saw their spare tyres relocated from the side of the cargo compartment to underneath the floor. The WK models of 2004-2010 have 4-wheel drive and rear-seat DVD player as standard features.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee has been upgraded since 1983. There is no doubt that Grand Jeep Cherokee’s interior is full of luxury. One of the new features is the climate gadget. This gadget is used to control climate, with only a finger stroke. There are buttons located on the board. These are the rear park assist deactivation, pedal force, the tow haul mode, and several other features. In short you can say this vehicle is fully automatic and able to control each and every function at the stroke of your finger.

The 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee has more power features, as compared to its earlier models in terms of rear wheel drive, engine capacity, and fuel efficiency. The navigation and mobile satellite television features are optional. To improve safety, more features were added. These include antiskid, traction control, and curtain side airbags. The superb suspension is available in all models.

Total sales in native America have been 200, 000+ every year from 1999-2003. However, the numbers fall to below 150, 000 for between 2004 and 2007; and fewer than 75, 000 in 2008. One site lists that sales of the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited models starts off at 24, 300, and that it comes in six colours: Stone White Clearcoat, Bright Silver Metallic Clearcoat, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearlcoat, Jeep Green Metallic Clearcoat, Modern Blue Pearlcoat and Red Rock Metallic Pearlcoat.
